As Honeystripe was hunting she heard a sound in the grass nearby and picked up its scent. There was a rabbit at the foot of a tree gnawing at the grass. She ran towards the sound, tracking the rabbit and when Honeystripe got close enough, she crouched with her belly fur against the ground. She stalked the rabbit silently and pounced. Honeystripe caught the rabbit and bit its neck, ending its life. When Honeystripe got back to camp she laid the prey she had caught in the fresh-kill pile. Turning to leave to collect the rest, the Deputy stopped her in her tracks.

when she got to camp it was dusk so she dropped the vole in the fresh-kill pile and walked into the warriors den and curling in her nest she yawned and fell asleep
The deputy gave their leader the update on the dusk hunting patrol before leaving the den, looking out at the sky stretched above him. A yawn parted his jaws and shiver rolled down his spine. Heading towards the warriors den, he crawled into his nest nearing the den opening. Laying in his nest, he neatly curled his tail around his body and rested his chin on his paws.
When she got to hunting grounds instead of hunting for the clan she hunted and ate the prey herself. When she was full she caught a small vole and headed towards camp.
Coalbreeze rolled his eyes before turning and padding to pointed stones, he waited for BreezeClan's leader to return to the camp to update him on the patrol. His fur still bristled with anger at Honeystripe's carelessness. He silently wondered how BreezeClan could let their warriors could act this way.
ignoring the Deputy she continued walking towards hunting grounds. She stopped when she saw the leader walking her way. Her heart racing thinking of what he would think once he heard she had crossed the SunClan border. She quickly ran past him.
"Excuse me?" He hissed. "I don't think trying to protect my clan from your wreckless behavior is hare-brained. Maybe if you want to learn how to act properly, we will rename you to Honeypaw again." His tail twitched behind him in annoyance.
glancing back at him and noticing the egg she nodded politely turned away and muttered "Hare brain." and walked on forward towards the hunting grounds.
Coalbreeze sighed, staring back at the egg. Was he reacting right? Would he be a good leader if he was acting this way to his clanmates? The tom rolled the egg back into the pile with a more gentle paw this time. "I know," he said finally. "I know what it's like to want to do anything you can for them, but you could be doing more harm. We must wait for our prey to come here."
Honeystripe was afraid and quietly answered "I only did it so the clan wouldn't starve again." head down the she-cat slowly backed away then, she turned around slightly speeding up.
Coalbreeze watched and approached slowly, looking down at the single egg that sat among the furry prey. His expression twisted in a mix of confuaion and disgust. "Where did you get that?" He growled. He faced her, the clear stench of SunClan coming off her fur in waves. "You did it, again?" He spat, striking a paw against the egg, he swatted it from the pile.
When she got back to camp dropping the egg in the fresh-kill pile and turned around to see Coalbreeze.
It had taken a while for Coalbreeze to find another creature, this time a smaller rabbit. He chased it, catching up to it easily on strong legs and caught it. Picking the limp prey up between his jaws, the dark tom made his way back down to the jagged rocks and made his way into the stoney walls of the camp. Coalbreeze tossed his prey down before gazing around the camp, hoping to catch sight of their leader. He would have to report the incident in case SunClan started to point tails. Just then, he saw Honeystripe exiting the camp.
Nodding with respect she dashed off to the nursery. When she got to the nursery she saw the kits looking hungry. she dropped the prey in front of them and turned away hoping that Coalbreeze wont tell the leader about how she broke the warrior code to feed the kits. She dashed through an open area hoping to find prey when she got to the border she didnt hesitate and ran into SunClan territory once again that's when she saw a nest that had fallen from a tree and she picked up a egg careful not to break or crack it and ran off to camp.
Glancing between the vole and the warrior, he let out an irritated sigh. "They will catch your scent. You're lucky they didn't have a patrol out here, or you'd be missing your other ear." He flicked his tail, signaling for her to go back to the undergrounds. "I'll continue hunting here. Get that prey down to the nursery."
Ignoring Coalbreeze, she kept chasing the vole. She cornered it against the base of a tree and pounced, scratching its belly with a claw and silenced it after it let out its last shrill squeak. When she came out of the bushes, she saw Coalbreeze. He looked disapproving of how Honeystripe had broke the warrior code.
Coalbreeze came to a halt, eyes widening as the runner cut him off. Skidding to a halt, he turned to snap at Honeystripe, but saw her tail disappearing into the bushes of SunClan's territory. His fur bristled and a growl rumbled in his throat. "Are you hare-brained? Get back here!"
Honeystripe could see a vole running towards SunClan territory and she sprang after it running as fast as she could not seeing or hearing Coalbreeze. The vole ran into SunClan territory but she kept chasing it and pretty soon was hunting in SunClan territory.
He could feel eyes on him, but ignored it as they walked. Climbing the cliff face from behind, he allowed Honeystripe to take the lead on their patrol. Coalbreeze stopped just before reaching the high grounds, his ear twitched, hearing paws scurrying among the rocks. He ran forward at the sight of a distracted vole, though the pounding of his paws on the rock surface snapped its attention towards him. The vole sent out a shriek of fear before running in the other direction towards SunClan territory.
Honeystripe nodded with respect and slowly walked past, trusting that the Deputy walked beside her. The tortoiseshell's paws itched with worry, wondering if they would be able to find anything in the harsh cold that was reaching the clan. The water was freezing over, so frogs and tadpoles would be difficult to find, the reptiles were sure to be hiding from the weather by now, and rabbits were beginning to burrow underground. She glanced at him in anticipation, but then locked her eyes back on the path as they made their way onto the cliffs.
Overlooking the she-cat from just a fox length away, he squinted, staring past at the still warm prey she just caught. The charcoal tom nodded slowly, somewhat pleased by her catch. He didn't praise her long, llookin back into her eyes with his regular cold stare. "We will need more than that" he meowed, recalling the past leaf-bare. They had barely any food to get them by last time, and this year would be harsher, by the looks of it.
